Changing the Time on Your Phone Systems

Many of the newer phone systems are set to automatically update the time for daylight savings time. Many of the older systems required you to manually update the times. In many cases, the internal clock on the phone system may 'lose' time, thus requiring you to update the time every once in awhile.

On all of the phone systems supported in the left column, you only need to change the time on one phone, and this will update the time on all display phones in the system. In order to get the proper instructions for changing the time on your clock, it is necessary for you to know exactly which phone system you have. If you are not sure of the specifics, you can go to our System Identification Page and follow the steps to identify your system. If this does not help you, feel free to call us for assistance.

Once you have identified your phone system, click on the proper system in the support column on the left and you will find your time change instructions.

As you are probably aware, Congress has recently changed the start and end dates for Daylight Savings Time. What this may end up meaning for you is, instead of having your phone system update automatically, instead you may have to change the time 4 times: Once for the new Daylight Savings Time, once to reset it after the phone system updates it at the previous Daylight Savings Time, then to reset it again after the system automatically updates for the previous end date, and then again at the new end date.

Again, if you need further assistance feel free to contact CCT at any time.
