Identifying Your NEC Electra Elite IPK Series System
CCT began offering the NEC systems about the time the Electra Elite IPK system was being introduced. Then, in about March of 2006, NEC introduced the IPK II. The control units and the phones look the same, however some of the functions are accessed differently. A general rule of thumb you can use is if your system was installed after March 2006, you likely have an IPK II system. However, if you are unsure which system is yours, you can use this process to identify your system.
Identify the feature button on a telephone that has an LCD display. See the picture below for help.
With the phone sitting idle, press the Feature button, then the number 3. You will get a display telling you the software version of your phone system. If the display reads "MAINSOFT VERSION X.XX" on the top line of the display such as below, you have an NEC Electra Elite IPK II system.
If the readout uses different terminology, other than the "MAINSOFT" you have an older IPK system or NEC Electra Elite system.
