ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The UNIVERGE NEAX 2000 IPS, UNIVERGE NEAX IPS-DM, UNIVERGE IPS-DMR, and UNIVERGE NEAX IPS-DML, as with any computer-controlled systems, are sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. Climate control equipment (air conditioning/heating) may be required, depending on the installation environment.

Temperature and Humidity

The table below shows the environmental conditions required in the switching equipment room. If the UNIVERGE NEAX 2000 IPS, UNIVERGE NEAX IPS-DM, UNIVERGE IPS-DMR, and UNIVERGE NEAX IPS-DML are operated in an environment that does not meet these specifications, the reliability of the equipment may be impaired. Therefore, to enable the equipment to operate for the extent of its expected lifetime, careful consideration must be given to the location of the equipment and to proper ventilation and air conditioning. If no equipment is provided to remove the heat generated by the system or if the temperature or humidity fluctuates repeatedly, the system's electronic components can be adversely affected.
